Scott began his music career at Berklee College of Music in 1985 and continued his education at WMU and WSU as a Jazz Performance - Composition Major. He has studied privately with Ken Taft, Gene Butler, Mikhal Caldwell and Joe LoDuca. As a performer Scott has been in a wide variety of bands and is a founding member of the Frank Zappa Tribute 'Ugly Radio Rebellion'. With 23 years experience as a music educator Scott has done an estimated 32,000 private lessons as well as classes, clincs, College Prep courses and is a member of The American Guild of Music. He is a versatile teacher and motivated performer and is fluent in most every style of music.
Rylan Smith, guitar.
Rylan began studies at the University of Georgia in 2002 majoring in classical guitar performance and a minor in composition. Rylan has been selected for the School of Music Outstanding Performer Scholarship and has been one of six finalists at th 2002, 2003, and 2004 Christopher Parkening Masterclass.. He was also the First Place and Convention Recitalist in the Georgia Music Teachers Association Spring Auditions (2004). Mr. Smith has performed with in other masterclasses for David Brandon, Sharon Isbin, and Daniel Wolfe. He currently studies with John Sutherland.
