Julie Trammel holds a Masters degree in vocal performance from Georgia State University with mentor and acclaimed soprano, Kay Paschal. She earned her BFA from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has performed operatic roles such as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, and Cio Cio San in Madama Butterfly under the direction of 2010’s Classical Magazine State Director of the Year, Carroll Freeman. Julie has been a featured soloist of Georgia State University Orchestra and University Singers. She sang the role of Rosa in a revival of Don Bucefalo at the La Musica Lirica opera program in Novafeltria, Italy. She participated in an exchange program with Renmin University in Beijing, China where she performed in a recital. She won first place in Georgia’s National Association of Teachers of Singing and was chosen as a Semi-Finalist in the National Orpheus Competition for Vocalists. She is currently working on Pamina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at the Harrower Summer Opera Workshop.
