Summer Classes
Ages 6 months to 5 years

During the school year we offer 9 week class quarters for our Mommy and Me, Musical Beginnings One, and Musical Beginnings Two classes, and students may join the classes any time. Summer classes are offered in June and August with flexible scheduling options.

Summer Camp
Ages 3½ years to 5 years

During the summer we also offer summer camp for ages 3½ years to 5 years. This fun music camp offers an expanded version of our class offering including craft projects to make simple instruments, and musical games. From Jungle Day to Circus Day each day’s musical theme is different to involve and stimulate the students. Camp hours are 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Campers bring their lunch. We offer four weeks of camp sessions during the summer.

Summer class registration forms can be taken or faxed to our offices.

“My daughter, Daniela, has been enrolled continuously in the Musical Beginnings Classes at The Georgia Academy of Music for almost two years. She started at two years old and absolutely adores her music class and teacher, Lisa Morrison. She never takes the summer off! The class is a rich music enrichment environment, not just another playgroup. Daniela is exposed to music theory, rhythm, song, storytelling, dancing, and more importantly hands-on exploration of a wide variety of musical instruments such as cello, violin, french horn, piano, and different ethnic or indigenous instruments from around the world. Daniela and her classmates are making music and participating in it. It is an overall amazing sensory experience for my child. I am already seeing this regularity of music is being transformed into the recognition of patterns, and from here it is only a small step to discovering patterns in math, nature, and science.”
