Lara Longsworth, voice and piano
Lara Longsworth teaches voice and beginning piano at the Georgia Academy of Music while actively performing throughout the southeast. She holds a Masters degree in Opera Performance from Binghamton University in conjunction with Tri-Cities Opera and a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Lara is a frequent performer with The Atlanta Opera, Capitol City Opera, New Trinity Baroque, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, The Cathedral of St. Philip, and is a staff soloist at Northside United Methodist Church. She was recently engaged as a Spectrum Resident Artist with the Virginia Opera, and is currently singing Ruth in The Atlanta Opera’s 2010-2011 touring production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance.
